It was later revealed that they had been taken to the vampires' hideout and were offered a Great Barrier Reef scuba diving tour if they quit from the festival, to which they refused, so they were left stranded. When they were in the middle of singing their opening song, the giant Yowie Yahoo and his three vampire minions captured them, and it was up to the Scooby Gang to find them. Scooby and the gang found out that Thorn, Luna and Dusk were to open the Vampire Rock Music Festival in Australia. Scooby-Doo! and the Legend of the Vampire A little while later, the Hex Girls, along with Scooby-Doo and the gang, performed " Earth, Wind, Fire, and Air", for the townsfolk. Later on, Thorn was able to trap the ghost of Sarah back in the book by reading a spell out loud. They accompanied the rest of the group in the search for Sarah Ravencroft's diary (which was actually a spell book). Later, it was revealed that what they saw was just a herbal mixture that Thorn had made to soothe their vocal chords, and they even explained that they were actually eco-goths, and that Thorn also was a real wiccan. Fred and Daphne even suspected that they were real witches, after seeing Thorn performing a strange ritual. ![]() After that the gang and Ben decided to follow the girls and see if they have anything to do with the mystery they are trying to unveil. and Ben Ravencroft crashed Thorn and the girls' rehearsal of " Hex Girl". History Scooby-Doo! and the Witch's Ghost 2.2 Scooby-Doo! and the Legend of the Vampire.Overall, absolutely fantastic and wonderfully wicked.10/10. The villain is incredibly creepy while also being very cool. The reveal of which was uniquely staged and one of the show's more unexpected ones. Thorn with the Tranquilizer Gun was hilarious too and the reactions in the reveal likewise, was worried about overlong and repetitive running gags but they didn't come here thankfully. Endearingly goofy but also quite smart like when Shaggy and Scooby are in front of the audience. Furthermore, the writing is especially good in the humour, which is classic Scooby Doo. Loved the gang's increasingly individual personalities here as well. Seeing how they react to the effects of the curse was both entertaining and eerie, was very surprised to see that aggressive a side to Thorn. Not just because of their appealing personalities, which the episode relishes while showing different sides to them too, but also because of how they're used (there is plenty of screen time while not overshadowing the gang) and how they interact with the gang (in pitch perfect harmony). The Hex Girls are up there with 'Scooby Doo and Guess Who's' best guest stars. Had no issue with the voice acting and loved how the music setting was used. Even better is the very catchy new song from the Hex Girls, not quite "Hex Girl" level but fun and catchy at least. The music is dynamic and groovy, also loved the modern spin on the iconic classic theme tune for 'Scooby Doo Where are You', although it is too short. The animation has a lot of atmosphere, rich colour and even richer attention to detail, especially for the villain and at the end. Pretty much everything works here, with the one ever so minor complaint (which for me was overlookable) being that there could have been more of Dusk. One of the coolest, most entertaining and creepiest and the Hex Girls are far from wasted. On rewatch, "I Put a Hex on You" is still one of my favourite episodes, not just of Season 1 (which took a while to settle but the second half of it was very well done) but of 'Scooby Doo and Guess Who' overall. Not just meeting expectations but exceeding them far and beyond. "I Put a Hex on You" did not disappoint on first watch, for me it was actually one of the standout episodes in the best of ways. Am also a fan of the Hex Girls ever since their first appearance in one of my favourite Scooby Doo films 'Scooby Doo and the Witch's Ghost' and considering them one of the franchise's best recurring characters. ![]() ![]() Loved the premise, love anything centered around music and the Scooby Doo franchise has been enormously successful with a vast majority of its music themed episodes etc. Of all the episodes of 'Scooby Doo and Guess Who' prior to watching the show for the first time, "I Put a Hex on You" was one of the episodes this reviewer was most psyched about. ![]()
